Are you planning on teaching Leo Russian? My husband is Russian (coincidentally I'm South Indian), and I'd love to read your thoughts on OPOL if you have any.
I do want to teach Leo Russian but have struggled to keep up OPOL and eventually gave up (though it is cool in principle). I guess my parents did OPOL basically, since my dad only spoke Russian to me from birth whereas my mother only spoke English. (It helped that I was primarily raised by my dad so we also conversed a _lot_).
Though I am now fluent in Russian I speak it so rarely these days that it feels very unnatural to only speak Russian to Leo. I think it’d be nice to find some Russian playgroups/communities or have him hang out with his grandad who would speak only Russian.
Love this: “He had been listening and learning to replicate the sounds without my knowledge .” & also maybe cat is more difficult because he somehow understands inside that cat’s are evil creatures (just a hypothesis, needs testing)

13 months is still completely fine for not walking. First independent steps should be between 12-15 months.
If there are no independent steps by 18 months get a referral as >99% of kids are walking by then.
Yeah I'm not concerned, only a bit annoyed because I think he'd find walking very fun! So I can't wait for that!
